Ridiculous! I have gone 3 times to try to renew my license because I'm over 70 and they said I can't do it online. Everytime I go they say they aren't taking anymore walking but they don't have appointments! I got there today at 9am and they told me for the 3rd time they aren't taking anymore walk ins! They close at 5pm and have 4 processors on duty. We only have 1 vehicle and I have to keep driving my husband into work to get this done. It's so inconvenient it's not funny!

The staff of our local Pahrump DMV have always provided an efficient and friendly experience on each of my dozen or so visits. It's important to take advantage of their appointment system when possible, and access the DMV website to prepare for your visit. Any complaining you hear in the waiting area are from people who couldn't bother to find out what they needed to complete their business.

Most DMV'S are awful, this is worse! I've had appointments, only to show up, check in, then be told I didn't have an appointment, even though I had the message showing I had an appointment.
The place is totally overstuffed, but only half the windows are staffed.
If you can find another office I'd suggest you go there.

Over the years I was of the opinion that the DMV couldn’t make itself less user friendly than it was. But I was wrong. Due to my age it was necessary to make an appointment to renew my license. The soonest is 5 weeks out.

Terry helped me last week…it was Friday afternoon and she was SO Kind AND Efficient!! Best Trip To DMV.
( Too bad I had to wait 3 hours just to turn in plates on a vehicle sold. The DMV Really needs to take better care of its customers and employees by growing with the population and demand…just sayin…)
