Making the appointment was easy. Everything on line was clear. It took a while to find an open appointment that worked with my schedule. That was actually the hardest part. I needed a new license for a name change due to marriage which was one of the few services offered in house. When I arrived the parking lot was wide open. Entering the DMV I noticed several changes. There were folks cleaning and I had to pass a Covid check. The reps were spread out and there were partitions separating us. I gave my paperwork to the first station who checked that I had everything I needed. Everyone was friendly and answered all my questions. I moved on to the waiting area where I waited maybe five minutes before being called up. I had my picture taken and signed the kiosk which was cleaned before and after I used it. Then I paid. I received a paper receipt. My actual license arrived by mail a few days later. I only hope the DMV stays this efficient post Covid. Very pleased.

I was in and out in less than twenty minutes for the new Real ID thing. Didn't have any problems and everyone was wearing a mask. Things go a lot smoother if you go to the DMV website first to find out what documents you need, and have everything ready for your visit.
