Norfolk DMV Customer Service Center to Close Temporarily for Renovations
The Military Circle DMV Center to Undergo Major Interior and Exterior Overhauls, Offers Online Services and Nearby Locations
The Norfolk Military Circle Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) Customer Service Center (CSC), located at 5745 Poplar Hall Drive, is set to temporarily close after Saturday, June 10, for comprehensive renovations. The facility is expected to reopen on Monday, July 17, with improvements designed to enhance customer service.
Convenient Options Available for Customers During Closure
During the renovation period, customers will have access to more than 50 services online at www.dmv.virginia.gov. These services include driver’s license and registration renewals, disabled placard renewals, and title replacements.
Customers needing in-person assistance can either make an appointment or visit any other CSC during regular office hours. Nearby alternatives include Norfolk Widgeon Road, Virginia Beach Buckner, or Portsmouth offices.
Additionally, partner DMV Select locations in Norfolk or Portsmouth will handle vehicle-related transactions, such as registration renewals, titles, license plates, and decals.
A Fresh Look and Enhanced Efficiency
The Norfolk Military Circle CSC renovations will encompass both interior and exterior updates. Interior improvements include a new, efficient countertop design, four additional service windows, an HVAC system replacement, fresh paint, new carpeting, and modernized restrooms.
The exterior will see the installation of a new roof, upgraded LED lighting, and a repaved parking lot, contributing to an overall improved customer experience.
The temporary closure, while causing a minor disruption, promises a substantial payoff with the anticipation of improved customer service in a rejuvenated environment. Residents are encouraged to utilize online services and other DMV locations in the interim.
