Not sure how to review the non experience. Showed up at the Cleburne office hoping for a walk in appointment or a cancellation but was given a small piece of paper with the online appointment website which I had used already but appointments were 6 to 8 weeks out. I was traveling south the coming weekend and found a dmv office with daily available appointments on my route and renewed my dl there. Not sure the last time I had to physically appear at a dmv office to renew but I have had multiple renewals using the on line services up until now. Need to fix the system or at least send the renewal notice 3 to 4 months in advance with a warning to make the appointment upon receiving the renewal notice.
I was treated completely unacceptable today at the New Braunfels DPS. The woman told me that I could not be verified by my Texas, Current Drivers License, and that I needed another form of ID, when I gave her my current(retired military ID) she said that the United States Government I D card is not connected to their company and that would not work either. I am a US disabled Vetren and she was telling me none of that mattered??? What is going on. I was told that my appointment would not be honored and that I would have to come back another day. This is unacceptable, I am a citizen and an extra soldier and this person decided she did not want to help me renew my 30 year untainted drivers license. For I don’t even know what reason.
My license had expired and I needed to get an appointment right away. I got in the same day. The young lady that helped me was very helpful very professional and very friendly. The whole staff was very friendly. I was very apprehensive about going there since I’ve heard so many people had bad experiences with some of the staff there, but I have nothing but good things to say about my experience there.
Compliments to staff! Process for renewing Driver’s License was very efficient and was complete in less than 20 minutes. Keep up the great work.
