Toms River NJ MVC Licensing Center

Security guard had an attitude from the start. All I needed was my free disabled Vet placard renewed. I raised my voice to be heard by the clerk and I guess the guard got scared. He took offense to being callled an asshole as I grabbed my paperwork and left without renewing.

Today when I went to dmv to get a probation license for my 17 year old daughter. The person that was helping us had my daughter answer a few questions that was required for the license for example if you want to donate your organs and if you are republican and democrat. I was helping my 17 year old daughter answer and make the decision to answer those questions. The employee at dmv that was helping us at behind the counter told me that my daughter could make her own decision to answer those questions. My daughter just turn 17 and I was guiding her to make the decision to answer those questions. My question and complaint is if the employee have the right and authorization to tell me as a parent that I should help and guide my daughter to answer those questions of organ donor and republican or democrat part. I hope this is correct and employees are trained that they cannot tell customers how a parent can not tell and guide a 17 year old not to answer questions. I did not get the dmv employee name, but she was working in booth 10 at 810am.

Very unclear instructions on how to renew a real license. When trying to schedule an appointment on line it tells me I already have a real license and won’t allow me to schedule. I tried to call and speak to someone. Takes 20 minutes and many menus just to arrange a call back.
