Atlanta DMV Office: 400 Whitehall Street SW

This is the first time I’ve been to the DMV in Georgia so I wasn’t sure what to expect here in ATL but I had to go to renew my out-of-state license. I would definitely advise you to make an appointment and get there 15-20 before they advise you to. I would also make sure you read up on all the documents you need and fill out all the forms electronically to make it go quick and painless when you get there. During this COVID pandemic, I’m sure it’s a different situation in these places but it seemed pretty organized. There was a person outside checking the folks who had appointments vs walk-ins. There was also a person to make sure you had all your documents necessary. Lastly, there was a person to walk you in and get a number so you could take a seat. They were keeping track of how many people were inside and the chairs were spaced out fairly well. The woman who helped me initially wasn't very courteous and worked too slow to get me through the process. Overall it was okay. The parking lot is spacious so no trouble there.
