Georgia has two different service centers, Department of Drivers Services and the Motor Vehicle Division each handles different functions:
Department of Driver Services handles the following:
- Georgia Driver's licenses
- Georgia ID Cards
- Georgia Permits
Motor Vehicle Division handles the following:
- Georgia License Plates
- Georgia Titles
- Georgia Vehicle Registrations

Good and fast service
I have lived in 4 states and have never had such a pleasurable experiences as I have had at the DMV in Savannah. I know they have great leadership when I see smiling faces and experience a caring and well informed staff. It was a nice welcome to Georgia. Thank you!
Please star opening on Saturday if you sign says open on Saturday 8am till 12 noon.
My granddaughter had a great experience with Lucy the driving instructor. She was kind and friendly and gave great directions during the test.
