Florida DMV Reviews and Tips
It took forever to get what I needed done. I hate that place. I stood in line for well over two hours with tons of people in the hot sun. I had so much to do that day and this place wasted all of my time. I seriously hope I never have to go back there because the service is terrible.

do i have to make an appointment to change my out of state license
Hello,
As a new Florida resident, you have 30 days to obtain a valid Florida driver's license after establishing residency in order to legally drive in FL.
To apply for a FL driver's license, you will need to visit a FLHSMV office in person. That being said, it is strongly encouraged that you make an appointment to save time waiting in the office. At your driver's license appointment, you will be given a vision test, however, you may be able to obtain a license without having to take a written or road test. For a full list of FLHSMV office locations, please visit https://www.flhsmv.gov/locations/.
The fee for a Class E license is $48, and $75 for a Commercial Driver's License (Class A) plus $7 per endorsement.
