Questions and Answers
Good morning, I would like to replace my NY Driver's License to CT Driver's License, do I need to make appointment or just walk-in, and also to register my vehicle with Florida plate to CT plate, I got my emission test already. Thank you.
Hello,
Once you are a Connecticut resident, you have 90 days to transfer your vehicle registration. This process must be completed by appointment only at a DMV hub office or at the DMV branch office. Aside from an emissions test, you will also need to locate the original vehicle title. An out-of-state vehicle title is required if applicable.
You will also need to gather the following additional documents: an acceptable form of ID, proof of insurance, a completed application for registration and certificate of title (Formj H-13B), Vehicle Inspection Report (VIR), and payment for fees.
To make an appointment at the DMV, please visit https://portal.ct.gov/dmv/resources/make-change-appointment?language=en_US.
