On Thursday morning, there was a tricky riddle to solve at the state department of motor vehicles. The department’s online system had shut down abruptly. The institution was shocked because they had no rough clue about the problem. This ordeal transpired for half an hour.

However, the issue was resolved after thorough investigations from joint forces, and everything went back in order. On Thursday morning, the organization issued a warning to all individuals who had appointments. They had noted that persons with scheduled meetings would face delays.

Later, the officials reported that a faulty switch was behind all the mayhem. The switch caused the outage rendering many people into confusion. The officials conveyed a message of hope to their clients, noting that all online services were still available. The sudden outage had not impacted the online platform.

This ordeal occurred weeks after the state officials had noted that the department of motor vehicles was going to experience an online makeover. Clients were now experiencing top-notch online services. The wait time had been drastically reduced to 20 minutes.

Plans were underway to make more improvements. This idea was conceived after the state realized it was fruitful to do more services online instead of waiting in line to conduct transactions.

The department of motor vehicles commissioner Sibongile Magubane, well known as ‘Bongi,’ noted that the institution had moved over 20 transactions online. He added that efforts were in place to overhaul the web platform and upgrade the entire appointment system.

The same month, Governor Ned Lamont addressed a conference. He said that he was impressed with DMV’s online transactions. He jovially noted that DMV was making positive progress.

Currently, DMV has done over 750,000 online transactions. Gov Lamont said that young people would enjoy the services compared to the previous years since everything is less burdensome.
