There needs to be 2 or 3 people checking in the line. The wait at this DMV is absolutely ridiculous.

Employees are snippy and talk down to customers. Tip: Talk to customers the way you would want someone to talk to your parents.

This is the most awful DMV I have ever been too. I grew up here, it took a year to get my NC driver license transferred to VA. They made me feel like I was criminal. I am a disabled veteran, retired fire captain. The employees are lazy and in desperate need of remedial training. As of this moment, it been like 3 weeks and I'm still trying to get my vehicle registered in Virginia. I am taking this personally and will be filing so type of legal paperwork.
I would most definitely rather work with robots then these backwards folks that work here. To bad they're not federal employees, close this DMV! I give them negative 0 is there is such a thing

The management at this DMV needs to be fired. State ID cards is not being issued in timely manner. Five to ten business days its said by DMV to forward State ID cards to residence. This is the second address change with the same results. This DMV has charged me ten dollars each time yet doesnt deliver my card to my address. Are they doing this, collecting money from the public and where is that money going? In July 2024 I visited this DMV for address change. I never recieved it. In March 2025 I went in for address change and its day 17 business days and I have not recieved my state ID card. What the HELL are YOU DOING OVER THERE? and why are you making customers pay and not sending their state ID. When I asked about the first card not coming, they said it was delivered when it was not. These people need to be fired and investigated. State IDs are cruical to employment and other opportunities and cannot be obtained without it. You all are making people suffer, due to this I have missed out on a high paying job and its cost me alot due to YOU STUPID PEOPLE NOT DOING YOUR JOBs! I called and spoke with DMV staff and they tried to tell me I had to wait up until fifteen days. He told me to call back on Monday which is today. I called back and have to wait to be called back. This is disgusting I HATE NORFOLK. Alot of public service DMV being one of them at this location makes ME SICK!! I AM ANGRYYYYYYYY because I have BILLS TO PAY and i CANT GAIN EMPLOYMENT WITHOUT MY STATE ID VERIFYING WHO I AM. SEND ME MY GOT DAM CARD ALREADY YOU BASTARDS! This is the SECOND TIME they have taken my money and not delivered my state ID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! TERRIBLE MANAGEMENT FIRE THEM!!!!!

Very helpful, and pleasant. Walked in without an appointment, was seen promptly and everything was rather seamless. Great customer service.
