The Department of Motor Vehicles in Virginia announced Monday that it would increase access to its facilities beginning on March 2. The new move aims to provide appointments and walk-in services at all 75 of its service locations.

The agency further indicated that the centers would be open for walk-in customers on Saturdays. Currently, clients can either make an appointment for service on Monday or Friday. Besides, they can walk in for care on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, or Saturday.

"As Governor, I am determined to get the government to function and serve the people again, and that endeavor begins with the Department of Motor Vehicles," said Glenn Youngkin. Therefore, my initiative to boost DMV appointment availability and walk-in availability for in-person service is simply the first step toward improving the customer service experience across the state government.

The following services are available to facilitate the completion of transactions without the need to visit a facility:

Online Resources- dmvNOW.com is an online resource that provides access to more than 50 different services that citizens will access under the new changes.

- Emails: You shall access the renewal services through the mail, such as your driver's license and vehicle registration.
