Lake Zurich Illinois SOS Reviews and Tips
While the wait was long as it always is the staff were helpful and made my visit easy and simple. It was just to get my license renewed but overall the process was very easy. I wish the wait was shorter but I know that will continue to be an issue but I hope it could be fixed.

For Covid safety guidelines, there was a reduced occupancy limit and a line outside. The line could have been better labeled; I waited in line for a few minutes before an employee informed me that I did not have to wait for my purposes. Other than that, staff was efficient and friendly.

The appointments are not set up for Seniors with disabilities, nor is there anything about getting an actual appointment on the internet. I have to get my father's Real ID setup on his I.D. He is 85, legally blind and has Parkinson's....I can't make him stand outside and wait.....this is truly horrible.

I tried unsuccessfully to arrange an appointment to get my driver's license updated to a Real ID so I wouldn't have to carry a passport for domestic air travel. Upon arrival I was greeted by a screener who was able to arrange a meeting with a screener and have my photo taken for a new driver's license. After a very short wait I was directed to a DMV rep, Danielle, who was so attentive and processed my new license request without any difficulty. She asked me if I was a veteran (I am) and if I had my DD214 with me (I did), so she was able to not only get a Real ID designation on my new license, but also an inscription that I'm a veteran. Danielle was so helpful, kind, and professional that this entire experience was completed without any problems. MY thanks to all of the DMV personnel who helped me, and especially Danielle who went out of her way top make sure everything went well. This location will always be my choice for future needs. Thanks again. John Sullivan, Arlington Heights, IL
