Colorado Springs Colorado DMV Reviews and Tips
On hold for 30 minutes and then they cut me off. Tried again and the same thing happened. Tried again today and the office is closed (7 June 2023). Since most people use the services online or the kiosk there should be no reason they can't answer in a timely matter.

They take all the time in the world and they’re a part of a system that rips off the Colorado residents!

After waiting 1 1/2 hours to register my out of state vehicle in CO, I was called to counter 6. Mary was rude in asking the pertinent questions, stopped to laugh and visit with a group of trainees, spoke to me like I was an imbecile and then didn’t listen to my answers. Overall, this was a horrible experience.

I need to renew my Driver's License and since I am 70+, I wanted to know if there were special requirements for older people. I first looked online and tried to call to speak to a "live" person, but neither attempt allowed me the contact I needed. I then drove up to the El Paso County Motor Vehicle Department on Union between Research and Briargate Parkway (about a 40-minute drive). My normal experience there, involves significant wait times. However, today I was able to speak to the Receptionist, explain my situation, and she said I can renew my license in the office today. My wait was about 20 minutes, and my time with the DL Customer Service Representative was about 20 minutes. I was very pleased with the customer service today.
