South Charlotte DMV - Driver License Office

Showed up right when it opened, I had 2 or 3 people in front of me. The wait time was around 15 minutes and it took less than 10 minutes for everything to be sorted out and I was on my way. Great service and nice people.

Since I had an appointment, I didn't have to wait long outside of the DMV. Once I got inside, I had to wait in line behind all of the others who had the same appointment time as me. There were several people who didn't have the right documents, but the staff helped clear that up. Unfortunately, they had to reschedule the appointment so a tip is to quadruple check the documents to make sure you have everything. The Covid procedures were good - everything was socially distant and everyone had masks on, except when you had to take a picture. I had to wait once more after I got my number, but once I made it to my station it went by really fast.

Whoever reviewing this, please make sure the portal is updated. The poor girl at the DMV door has to tolerate a lot of demeaning behavior from the people waiting in line.

Bring a folding chair.
