Questions and Answers
Hi. Do I need appointment for renew driver license?
Hello,
You may renew your Florida driver's license online or in person, depending on the circumstances. Florida drivers can renew their license online through the MyDMV portal every other renewal period.
If you are renewing your license in person, it is strongly encouraged that you make an appointment. You may do so at the FLHSAMV office of your choice.
You must renew your license in person if:
-You used the online service for your last renewal.
-You are not REAL ID compliant.
-You wish to update your ID photo.
-You are changing your name using a certified court order or marriage certificate.
-You are adding or removing a designation.
-You hold a Commercial Driver's License.
-Your driver's license says "TEMPORARY" on it.
