Riverside California DMV Reviews and Tips
The location of the DMV office was is located around train tracks. The office is near downtown Riverside and is pretty worn down, small, and isolated. I went to get my permit. I waited in line at 7am until I got to the front and was told that I need another piece of identification. I went to the bank and got a piece of identification and lined back up at the DMV and then was able to pass my test and go home. But I spent my entire day there - 7 hours.

I have been to the location several times in the past so locating it was easy. The location is near downtown Riverside and it is tucked away near railroad tracks. COVID-19 procedures included wearing a mask and maintaining six feet apart from others. Tips I would give to others is to bring all of your identification and call beforehand to double check prior to your appointment.

In late November we paid off our loan for our vehicle. We still in February have not yet received our title. Do you know why not?
Can I pay for my tags and do smog later
No, you cannot pay for your tags in California and do the smog test later. Smog inspections are required when you register or renew registration for a vehicle in California, with some exceptions. If your gasoline-powered vehicle is a 1975 year model or older, it does not need a smog inspection.
