Riverside DMV Field Office

The location of the DMV office was is located around train tracks. The office is near downtown Riverside and is pretty worn down, small, and isolated. I went to get my permit. I waited in line at 7am until I got to the front and was told that I need another piece of identification. I went to the bank and got a piece of identification and lined back up at the DMV and then was able to pass my test and go home. But I spent my entire day there - 7 hours.

I have been to the location several times in the past so locating it was easy. The location is near downtown Riverside and it is tucked away near railroad tracks. COVID-19 procedures included wearing a mask and maintaining six feet apart from others. Tips I would give to others is to bring all of your identification and call beforehand to double check prior to your appointment.

I made an appointment in advance to get my Real ID and showed up early today, which I believe was key to the great experience I had. I found the process very efficient and straight forward. My questions were answered by both the DMV personnel and those like me waiting my turn to be helped. Now I know DMV sometimes gets a bad reputation that most people make fun of based on propagated and exaggerated stories, but that was not this DMV office. The employees that work there were very professional, polite, and helpful. Thank you for running an organized, efficient, and friendly DMV office!!

The lady that works window 5 is a rude rude women. I've bin at that dmv 4 times trying to get a title I lost. The first time I was there she looked at my pprwrk an app for dup. pink a bill of sale from the dealer a statement of facts and 4 other forms. she didnt even look at the pprwrk she said that i didnt have a bill of sale she was wrong i went back the women at window 14 atleast told me what i needed i came back another women said id filled out 1 thing wrong i came back and got window 5 the first women takes my paperwork and then says to me i will not accept this and handed it back to me with no explanation i felt as thow she was treating me like a criminal. Its people like her that give the ca.dmv such a bad reputation. I think she make a better janitor or door stop the a customer service rep.
