The closure will commence from 5 p.m. on Friday, July 7, and the office is slated to reopen at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, August 30.
Renovations Aim to Improve Service Delivery
The planned renovations will include new flooring and paint. Moreover, a new Industry Business Center will be introduced to provide business services. This facility is designed to better serve the needs of industry customers, such as dealerships, improving the overall customer experience.
Alternate DMV Locations During Closure
During the period of renovation, customers are advised to visit the following field offices:
- Fresno office at 655 W Olive Ave., 7 miles away
- Clovis office at 2103 Shaw Ave., 8 miles away
- Madera office at 1206 Maple St., 20 miles away
Encouragement to Use Online Services
The DMV encourages its customers to use the various online services available, as most DMV tasks do not require an office visit. These services include eligible driver’s licenses and vehicle registration renewals. By utilizing the Service Advisor on the DMV website, customers can learn about the various options available to them to complete their DMV tasks.
This temporary closure allows customers to familiarize themselves with the convenience and ease of DMV's digital services, minimizing the need for physical office visits and making their transactions smoother and more efficient.
