Mocksville North Carolina DMV Reviews and Tips
Warning if you do not make an appointment be prepared to wait if anyone is there in waiting room also. I arrived at this DMV at 404pm for my son's driving road test logged into computer waiting list. I waited 35 min's before being called for his number then I was informed that there was a paper on left of entry door that no road tests after 4pm due to volume of people. So we have to come back before 4pm for new drivers license road test. I had also taken a number at time when entered at 404pm, I had to be seated back in waiting room for additional 3 min's before being called back only to be told they did not have anymore time for that day to complete a real ID application/paperwork that I would have to come back also and this was 445pm 15 min's before DMV place was closing and there were 3 other people waiting in wait room waiting to be told they was going to have to come back. So moral of my story do not go to this DMV at 4pm or later to get anything completed or you will have to come back another time to complete your requests or have an appointment. :(

Went to renew my license and got there before they opened to be first in line, couldn’t get an appointment so I thought this would work. Not!! At 8 one of the employees came out to put up a large sign at the end of the line. As she is walking back up to the door she states no walk ins are taken until 11 am and you have to scan the QR code so you can come back after 11. I asked why is there not any signs up at the door explaining this, they said they did put up a sign stating this but management made them take them down. Why??? Everyone wonders why they hate going to the DMV, it’s stuff like this. So being first in line was a joke as all the people that were at the END of the line were scanning the code getting all the spots!! How is this right??
