I came early & prepared by pre-scheduling my appointment online. I had all of my necessary documents that I needed in order to renew my enhanced drivers license. The process took less than 10 minutes.

Massive inefficiency. The person at the intake desk is often terse and rude to people for no reason. Overworked? No excuse. workers behind the mostly empty counters move at the speed of smell. Why build so many counter positions with no intention of filling them? Government waste of tax payers dollar.

I made 3 visits to this DMV to get my Real Id. The process was made complicated as I am a British citizen with an "old style" Resident Alien card that is issued for my lifetime. My initial visit went well and was told to return once my card was entered into the system.
My second visit was a nightmare. Elaine told me my documents were wrong and not valid and I needed to sort this out myself. To say she was rude is an understatement. When I tried to explain she "shushed" me with her finger to her lips. She also did the same to my husband. She consulted with another employee, Brian I believe, who was no help but I believe attempted to be civil.
We decided to consult a lawyer but before we did this I received a letter from USCIS that my documents were approved and I could return to the DMV.
This i did with no further issues and I am now awaiting my new license.
I feel very strongly that I was treated very badly by Elaine. She had no idea how to deal with the general public, which I believe is a main part of her job. I hesitate to think how many other people she has mistreated as she stands behind her desk. If she is still employed she needs many classes to bring her up to spec with her work and treatment of people.
