Getting my license renewed was fairly a straight forward task with the only big issue was not having an appointment. The parking lot had sufficient spaces so that was not a problem. The wait time was relatively long because of the reduced staff and the numbers of people that had showed up on that day. I think the staff works very hard in trying to fulfill all the DMV functions under trying time. I was actually impressed by the professionalism which was displayed again in trying times. I believe that some of the functions were not available and only staffed for certain days. In my opinion I think that the DMV should make available some of its functions to more "user friendly" areas such as shopping centers so that it is more readily accessible. Parking would also probably be better although I personally did not have a problem on my last visit. Also, I think that automation should be further looked into to make things easier for the DMV staff as well as customers. I know that most city's have tight budgets however in the long run they will be able to save money and resources. Security seemed to be taking care of although I wonder if other areas are staffed with more personnel.
