This morning, 4/4/2025, I maintained a reservation at the DMV located at 145 West 30th Street, NYC 10001. The experience was positive as I was greeted, directed, and assisted by every agent I encountered during the process which took less than one hour. I found all agents helpful and facilitating. The only negative comment relates to the necessity to confirm the reservation on one's cellphone. I fortunately was able to accomplish this, although with some difficulty. I feel this is a limitation for those without a cellphone or unable to use it. Possibly there could be procedure which allows for the appointment confirmation to be mailed to those without a cellphone or use of one. This would further the sense of inclusion and community in the DMV experience.
Thank you for the opportunity to convey my favorable experience at the DMV today.

horrible experience.....was told over the phone that they take walkin's for enhanced drivers licence and was told that an appointment was needed in order to enter the premises by a very rude man in his 50's

There wasn't a line or waiting time. Been to this location twice in a week and both times the staff at the counter were borderline rude. Very unfriendly for someone in a customer service position. Convenient location though.

Turned away at the DMV today. I have live for 56 years in NYC and today was refused services at the DMV. No appointment, no service. Not only turned away, but spoken to by the DMV staff as if I worked for them!! Our city employees need an attitude correction and to remember they work for us! I cannot wait to leave NYC when I retire in 3 years.... Been waiting to get out for a long time now.... Specifically because our extremely high tax burden doesn't even allow you to accomplish the most basic of city services without jumping through hoops. When I asked customer service representative at the customer service window how was I supposed to know it was by appointment only. He shrugged his shoulders and continued his conversation... Turning his back to me. What a joke this city has become. Why would anyone want to stay!?
