The Albany DMV Innovation Center was created as part of the New York States DMV transformation effort. The Albany DMV located at 6 Empire State Plaza was designed as a place to test innovative customer service products and transactions.
This Office is open to the public. Reservations are strongly encouraged. Services offered Include Real ID, CDL renews a CDL, CDL road test, change of address or name, you can also get a non-driver ID, and register and get plates for a vehicle here.

Albany New York DMV Reviews and Tips
The staff were pretty helpful at this place. It was a short wait and I already knew where to find it because I have been there before. Parking was decent and things were spread out so no one was really close to each other. They truly did take covid procedures into account and I was glad that they did. Overall, it went quickly and I'd go back whenever I have too.

Why would you allow a person to drive a vehicle that has no license due to losing it to dwi ,, she drives drunk with her 5 year old grandson . Grey Ford escape , kwv 2127

There wasn't a line or waiting time. Been to this location twice in a week and both times the staff at the counter were borderline rude. Very unfriendly for someone in a customer service position. Convenient location though.
