Questions and Answers
I haven't had a license for over 10 years and I am 62 years old. What process do I need to go through to get one?
Hello,
Once a Washington driver's license expires, the owner has up to 60 days to renew it. If you take longer than 60 days to renew your driver's license, you will be charged a $10 late fee on top of the renewal fee.
If, however, your license has been expired for 6 years or more, you will need to start all over again and apply for a brand new driver's license. This process will include all of the required skills and knowledge tests.
To schedule an appointment, please visit https://fortress.wa.gov/dol/extdriveses/NoLogon/_/ . If you need help using the online scheduling system, you can call 360.902.3900 .
