I really didn't expect a good experience as I didn't have the required appointment necessary to get my license renewed. However the representative was extremely courteous and understood my situation and scheduled a appointment for me at a convenient future time for me.

Mr. Curtis Russell was very courteous, friendly and most of all helpful!! He seemed to care about our situation and in the end solved our issue. I will be using this location exclusively from now on, thanks to Mr. Russell!!!

This office is a complete joke. You had my 89 year old dad chasing all over Van Zandt county this morning. He gets there for his appointment and you sent him to the courthouse in Canton to obtain a NEW copy of his birth certificate when he had documented paperwork that showed the name change on his birth certificate. So he gets that and goes back to this location and then you sent him home to get a copy of his military discharge paper and come back at 1:00. What in the world does being in the military have to do with renewing his drivers license. My dad is the primary caregiver for my mom who is home on hospice. You have wasted all of his morning and now he has to go back so you have wasted part of his afternoon. This is the worst experience ever and the person assisting him was awful. Please be more considerate of your senior adults that come in for assistance. Clearly he needs training on dealing with senior citizens.

We scheduled an appointment for a driver's license renewal at this location because we live in Hunt County and there is over a month waiting period to get an appointment here locally. We had previously tried to renew at the Sulphur Springs DMV - where the staff was less than helpful and informed me that without a certified copy of my birth certificate on hand there was nothing they could do. (it was explained to me today that had they taken the time to even TRY to look me up before sending me away - they would have seen that I have my passport on file which negates the need for a certified birth certificate) To put it nicely... I approached my appointment in Emory today with very low expectations and mentally preparing myself to leave unhappy. I was pleasantly surprised when upon my arrival I was immediately approached by a staff member who asked if I needed any help checking in on the lobby computer. The computer doesn't allow you to check in more than 30 mins ahead of your scheduled appointment so I appreciatively told him no I didn't need any help I just needed to wait another 15 minutes and try again. To my surprise, he offered for me to follow him back to his office and he could check me in himself and see if he could assist with my renewal. He was the definition of everything an associate providing CUSTOMER SERVICE is supposed to be but never is. He couldn't have been any friendlier or more helpful. I spent about 20 minutes with him while he walked me through the paperwork and updated my photo (and to my absolute surprise) successfully completed my renewal. I never leave google reviews but when someone goes out of their way and stands out as being excellent at their job, I think a little bit of grateful recognition is the least I can do in return. So Emory DMV- whatever you're paying Bryan - it isn't enough. Thank you for making today such a pleasant experience Bryan!!!
