Questions and Answers
I talked with a real person at Nickens, the agency that gave me some aid years ago when I got my last (Driver's License) card, which runs out on March 15th. He was very courteous but said I needed to go to the Ogontz Avenue office for a complete change from a Driver's License, which I no longer need. I just phoned the Ogontz Ave number and get nothing but an AI robot that, as usual, isn't programmed to answer questions or give needed answers. I will be 88 years old in 3 days, have bad eyesight, and haven't driven a car since I scrapped my 23-year-old Honda in 2012. I would prefer just a simple ID card. I am also a Navy veteran, have my original DD14, and would like my military service mentioned on my new card, if possible. I need to consider getting a so-called "real" ID card, which irritates elders my age because they remind us of something Fascists would demand--and I vividly remember growing up during WWII--a war I thought we had won. My Social Security card wasn't where I thought it was. My memory isn't perfect any more, The deadline for that is next year, and I believe I can send for a new Soc Sec card?
