As of now I have been on hold 56 minutes!!!!!!
I honestly feels our workers need to get “back in the office” so things can get back to normal.
I called Springfield office and they said I had an hour wait

The entire staff at the St.Albans D.M.V. were very helpful and courteous. They explained everything clearly on steps I had to take to help my elderly father after his wife passed away. What I had been told was a nightmare to do was very easy with the help of all the staff. I can not say this enough THANK YOU ALL ! You are a great team and Vermont should be proud of you.

Make an appointment and do your homework to complete paperwork ahead of time, and you will be rewarded with quick and friendly service. Waltz in unprepared and you will wait accordingly. I don't fault staff for getting agitated when unprepared customers argue with them, which I overhear at the check-in. I was in and out in 15 minutes today, leaving with a new registration and title in hand.

I love the new streamlined approach of DMV !
It is amazing.
Instead of hours of waiting and waiting , there has been an overhaul to the system. There is a Front Line representative who is DMV knowledgeable who does intake.

You are fielded to an expert in your issue area, who takes you in turn on a mounted screen.

You go to that window with all necessary paperwork and BOOM !

You are set to go.

My recent visit to the DMV Office in South Burlington VT was, understandably, unsettling from the start. although I arrived 15 minutes before the office even opened there was already a line 15 people long. I have to say that the majority of the people waiting to be served were irritated, anxious and not very friendly. This I believe lead to the DMV staff also being agitated and unhelpful in the extreme.
