The automated answering system is not good and cannot handle all functions.

This is by far one of the very best DPS offices in the state. The lady who assisted our 91-year-old mother in renewing her license could not have been more kind and helpful, and we greatly appreciated her patience and humor. The young lady who greeted us upon arrival was cheerful and went out of her way to attend to another lady, confined to a wheelchair and waiting for a bus to pick her up; she very kindly let her wait for her bus inside, as it was a very hot day. We were very impressed by everyone's courtesy and professionalism. Thank you, and please keep up the good work, ladies!

Yes You do need Your Birth Certificate. Atleast 2 forms of I.D. We even need our Birth Certificate.
what is the age cutoff for taking a driver written test? how much does it cost to take and get your test?
