Very unorganized process! My appointment was 8/7/25 at 9:25 am. I arrived early and stood in line for awhile only to discover that I needed to use my phone to check in at the BACK of the building! Information needs to be at the FRONT door about people with scheduled appointments! After checking in, the person waiting on me proceeded to take my bank statement, used only for verification of my address, and make copies of the entire statement including bank account number! I asked her not to do that and she rudely stated, ‘well, you gave it to me!’ YES, only to verify my address, NOT for copying! I provided a substitute but she didn’t care! I had to go to my bank, close my account, reopen a new account, and wait 2 weeks before receiving my new debit card! She further reported that I needed to wear glasses when driving! WRONG! I had on my READING glasses since I had to sign documents while there! She wrongly reported that I answered ‘NO’ when asked if I wanted to update my voters registration! She NEVER asked me because I would have said YES! The entire experience was very unorganized and unprofessional!

Please answer the phones, we are paying high taxes for your salaries for anyone not to care about providing good customer service.

After going through the red tape and paying $74 to get, yet another copy of my marriage certificate, I pulled out the original copy that I was told did not have the raised seal, I saw that it DID have the raised seal. So, I could have had my Real ID done after waiting 3.5 hours - and now I paid $74 for absolutely no reason. I am incensed.

Every location in middle TN was not accepting appointments and my time was limited. I stopped by the Lebanon DMV first (even though the staff member was very rude the day before) and the line was ridiculous. I sent an hour driving to Cookeville TN which was beautiful scenery. The customers waiting were super polite and there wasn't a crowd. I was able to be seen almost immediately. All of the staff were super nice, smiling, and quick! This is the location I would recommend!
