Anaheim DMV Office Temporarily Shuts Down for Repairs

California DMV

ANAHEIM, Calif. – The California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) announced on March 15, 2023, that the Anaheim Driver License Processing Center (DLPC), located at 3170 W. Lincoln Ave., has temporarily closed for repairs due to the presence of penicillium mold.

The mold was detected during routine industrial hygiene tests, which revealed a leaking pipe as the cause. The DMV is currently collaborating with the lessor of the building to remediate the affected areas. There is no projected date for the reopening of the Anaheim office, and the DMV has issued an apology for any inconvenience this may cause.

In the meantime, customers with scheduled appointments at the Anaheim DLPC can visit the following nearby field offices:

These offices will honor the appointments of Anaheim DLPC customers.

The DMV encourages clients to take advantage of its online services, as most tasks can be completed without visiting a field office. Eligible driver's license and vehicle registration renewals can be done digitally, and customers can use the Service Advisor on the DMV website to explore their options for completing DMV tasks.

To sign up for paperless vehicle registration and driver's license renewal notices, customers must create a secure online account at dmv.ca.gov and opt in for the service.
