Valley City Area Chamber & DMV Relocating Their Offices
The Chamber of Commerce plans to relocate to Central Avenue as of December 6. The company’s operations will be based at 253 Central Avenue. Sanford Eye Clinic previously occupied the offices.
The relocation will make it easy for the Chamber to serve its members and offer extra support for other businesses and organizations. The offices of the DMV are currently domiciled in Valley City and will also be relocated.
“Our membership has been growing rapidly. The need to serve more members in a better way is what has prompted us to move to a new place. The new location is in line with our expansion vision and much more convenient to most of our members”, said Kay Vinje, the Executive Vice President.
The Chambers and DMV offices will be non-operational from Thursday, December 1, to Monday, December 5. This is to facilitate the movement of property and staff from the old offices to the new location. But employees will still be available through email within this transition period.
The Department for Motor Vehicle offices will be open for business from Tuesday, December 6. The new working hours will range from 8.30-11:30 am to 12:30-4:30 pm. The grand opening dates for the two offices will be announced soon.
“Our Chamber is there to offer quality services to members. This move is meant to improve the quality of services delivery”, said chamber board president Penny Wolla. “As a business person, I am really happy with what the Chamber is doing. They have done a great job promoting education and businesses in our community”.
The Chamber also coordinates other activities, including ambassador visits, Chamber Bucks, ribbon-cutting events, business after-hours, and annual chamber celebrations, among other events. Many customers are happy with the relocation. The chamber has promised to improve service delivery as they move to the new offices.
