Ridgewood Considers Multiple Mobile NJMVC Events Each Year

The city of Ridgewood has been allowed to host its first mobile NJMVC event. Ridgewood is more significant than many of the surrounding towns and villages that have already taken advantage of New Jersey's mobile Motor Vehicle Commission unit. This is the first time Ridgewood's Village Clerk has applied to host an NJMVC event of this type. If the event proves successful, the Ridgewood Village Clerk has opened the door to hosting the mobile unit twice a year.

Ridgewood's residents have become accustomed to going to Lodi or Patterson to complete paperwork with the NJ MVC. The one-off event in Ridgewood will see the mobile unit parked in the parking lot of the Graydon Pool. The event is being hosted by the Village Clerk, with all appointments made through the Clerk's Office.

The full menu of services is available from the mobile unit, but Real ID appointments have already sold out. Any resident hoping to turn in a license plate does not need to book an appointment through the Village Clerk's Office. For all other services, an appointment must be made.

Village Manager, Heather Mailander, is hoping to host the mobile unit in the future. Mailander explained Ridgewood is more significant than many locations regularly hosting events with the mobile team. The Village Manager explained she would discuss with New Jersey's Motor Vehicle Commission about the mobile unit returning to the Graydon Pool location regularly.
