Ohio BMV Announces Express Self-Service Kiosks in Toledo for Convenient Vehicle Registration Renewals

TOLEDO, Ohio — Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles (BMV) Registrar Charlie Norman and Kroger representatives announced today the introduction of new BMV Express self-service kiosks in the Toledo area. Featured at 24 deputy registrar and retail locations statewide, the kiosks enable customers to conveniently renew their vehicle registrations. The announcement took place at the Kroger on Jackman Road in Toledo.
Lt. Governor Husted said, "InnovateOhio's goal is to change the culture of state government so that every service is designed with the customer in mind." He added that the self-serve kiosks provide a more expansive and convenient way for Ohioans to quickly and easily renew their vehicle registrations.
Several locations offer 24/7 access to the kiosks, allowing customers round-the-clock in-person vehicle registration renewal. Users can instantly print their registration cards and validation stickers directly from the kiosk.
BMV Registrar Norman stated, "Since 2021, more than 3.9 million visits to the BMV have been avoided because of innovative online solutions. We are dedicated to improving and enhancing the overall customer experience for Ohioans."
Many services can be completed online through BMV Online Services. The modernization of BMV services includes the ability to renew a driver's license online, transfer a title online, access more locations to take the driver exam, and opt for the online driving knowledge test.
Norman continued, "We strive every day to streamline our services to better meet customers' diverse needs. The expansion of BMV Express Kiosks is another important step we're taking to give Ohioans more options."
