The Oceanside DMV is temporarily closing for renovation Oct 20 - Dec 22
The Oceanside DMV is temporarily closing its office at 4005 Plaza Drive for renovation as part of a larger renovation project. These improvements will not impact the driving public as we will have temporary office space to accommodate the needs of everyone who visit us. Starting 5 p.m. Their license office will be closed on Thursday, October 20, 2022, until 8 a.m. Thursday, December 22, 2022. During this period, customers can visit the following area offices:
1. 590 Rancheros Drive, San Marcos
2. 13461 Community Road, Poway
3. 4375 Derrick Drive, San Diego Claremont
Online Services
Most DMV tasks can be completed online with the assistance of the Service Advisor. Online services are available on their website. Driver's license and vehicle registration renewals can be completed online. You can also pay fees or fines, order personalized and unique license plates, complete driver record transactions, check the status of your application, or get a driving record.
Get a REAL ID Online
The California DMV is now offering a new driver's license, a REAL ID, that complies with the requirements of the federal REAL ID Act. Visit REALID.dmv.ca.gov for the REAL ID online application and information. REAL ID will be used for airline travel and access to federal facilities and military bases starting May 3, 2023. To obtain a REAL ID, California DMV customers must complete a REAL ID Application online or visit a DMV office.
