Newnan's Department of Driver Services Moves to Modern Facility

Residents in Coweta County will now be served by a new, state-of-the-art Department of Driver Services (DDS) customer service center (CSC) in Newnan.

New Location Details

From July 25th, the DDS has shifted its operations to the Coweta County at Shenandoah complex, located at 87 Newnan Station Drive, Newnan, GA 30265. The new center's working hours are Tuesday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., with closures on Monday, Saturday, and Sunday.

A Fruitful Partnership

This move was made possible through a joint venture between Coweta County and the State of Georgia. While the county has provisioned the facility, the State will manage equipment and staffing.

"This new center gives us the capability to serve a greater number of customers in a very efficient manner. We are very pleased with the help and support we are receiving from Coweta County," expressed DDS Commissioner Spencer R. Moore.

Why the Move?

While the previous DDS location on Bullsboro Road served the citizens since 2006, the demand for a contemporary, upgraded center was evident. This new location not only provides an advanced environment but also streamlines the overall process for drivers.

Preparation for In-Person Visits

For those opting to visit in person, it's crucial to complete the mandatory paperwork before arrival. Every service, including renewals, replacements, and address changes, requires an application irrespective of the visitor's tenure in Georgia. This application is available at www.dds.georgia.com. If not filled out beforehand, individuals must complete it on the computer Tech Deck in the center before receiving a service number.
