Customers of RMV's new Mobility-as-a-Service app can plan and make multimodal journeys utilizing the company's existing mobility offer, which includes buses, trains, bike-sharing, taxis, and scooters.

The Massachusetts RMV has introduced a new Mobility-as-a-Service (MaaS) app called RMVgo, which gives users access to various transportation choices, including those between different modes, the ability to buy tickets, map out routes, and get information about connections and delays.

More than 2.5 million people use RMV every day, and the app's mobility offer—which includes public transportation, taxis, car-sharing, scooters, and bike-sharing—has made multimodal travel more convenient for customers.

New functions can be found in the app, such as purchasing season tickets in advance and an alarm feature in case of delays. Additionally, users can mark connections as favorites and switch between a list and a map view of the data. In addition, a vast map is displayed on the home screen for a glance at the closest stops.

What our passengers desire from our app is the ability to "find the proper connection fast, book the ticket with just a few clicks, and set out with ease," according to Professor Knut Ringat, RMV Managing Director. RMVgo offers every one of those features and more. It's the "one app for everything," allowing you to rent a bus, train, vehicle, or bike with a single download. On-demand shuttle reservations, among other features, are planned for future updates.

Hacon is contributing to developing the new MaaS platform alongside RMV and the other project partners. Several new features, including on-demand shuttles and an annual pass, will be added to the RMV app in the following weeks and months.
