Montana's Motor Vehicle Division Offers Mobile Driver Services In Bozeman

Default News Image

Montana's Motor Vehicle Division (MVD) will organize a week-long mobile licensing event at the Gallatin County Fairgrounds in response to the increasing demand and better serving of consumers in the Bozeman area. This will help people register their vehicles, take care of other driver's license requirements and renew their permits.
Here, you will be treated with dignity and courtesy. All non-commercial services are available for same-day and next-day appointments, whether a driver's license renewal, a real ID, or vehicle registration.

Furthermore, given the large number of young people who postponed their driving tests due to COVID-19 the previous year, the new facility will allow them to take their tests with MVD Express professionals. After completing their driver's course, they will take a written test with MDV. MVD also has locations in Billings and Missoula. By the end of the year, MDV plans to open locations in Great Falls and Kalispell.

Every day, approximately 25 to 30 consumers will be served at MVD's mobile units on a first-come, first-served basis. The mobile units will be on-site beginning Monday, September 12, from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m., Tuesday, September 13, Thursday, September 15, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Friday, September. 16 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Ensure you check the MVD website for information on what you will need to bring for you to land an appointment.

If you have misplaced your driver's license, you can renew it directly from any driving test facility. Just present two documents to verify your identification and money. If you are temporarily out of state, you can get a replacement driver's license by filling out a Mail-in Replacement form (Form 21-2000). A replacement license will set you back $10.30. There is a minor price difference if you pay prepaid receipts at the county treasury.
