Montana's Motor Vehicle Division Extends Mobile Licensing Services in Red Lodge

In response to increased demand in Carbon County, Montana's Motor Vehicle Division (MVD) is introducing a weeklong mobile licensing event. This initiative aims to support customers who require services such as renewing or replacing their driver's licenses.

Mobile Licensing Event Details

The mobile unit will begin operations on July 10 in Red Lodge, stationed in the Veterans Memorial Civic Center parking lot. Operating on a first-come-first-served basis, the unit is equipped to accommodate 25-30 customers each day.

Customers will be able to renew or replace Standard and Commercial Driver Licenses, as well as REAL ID Standard or Class D licenses. Additionally, the mobile unit can process out-of-state transfers for applicants who hold a current and valid out-of-state license. Please note that payments can only be made via debit or credit card.

The mobile unit's schedule is as follows:

  • Monday, July 10 through Thursday, July 13: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Friday, July 14: 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

The unit will be closed for lunch from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. each day.

The mobile unit will be located at the Veterans Memorial Civic Center parking lot, situated at 215 14th St W, Red Lodge.
