Kroger, BMV Partner to Bring Kiosks to Toledo
TOLEDO, Ohio – Representatives from Kroger and Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles (BMV) Registrar Charlie Norman today announced a partnership to bring BMV Express self-service kiosks to the Toledo area.
The kiosks will be featured at 24 deputy registrar and retail locations across the state, including 10 Kroger locations in Toledo. Customers can conveniently renew their vehicle registrations at the self-service kiosk.
“We are excited to partner with the BMV to bring this innovative service to our customers,” said Kroger spokesperson Jennifer Eilert. “This will allow them to renew their vehicle registrations quickly and easily, without having to wait in line at a BMV office.”
“We are always looking for ways to improve the customer experience at the BMV,” said Norman. “This partnership with Kroger will allow us to provide more convenient access to our services for Ohioans.”
The kiosks will be available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Users can print off their registration cards and validation stickers directly from the kiosk.
Since 2021, more than 3.9 million visits to the BMV have been avoided because of innovative online solutions. Many services can be completed online through BMV Online Services.
In addition to the expansion of kiosk locations, the modernization of BMV services includes the ability to renew a driver’s license online, to transfer a title online, more locations to take the driver exam, and the option to take the driving knowledge test online.
“We strive every day to streamline our services to better meet customers’ diverse needs,” said Norman. “The expansion of BMV Express Kiosks is another important step we’re taking to give Ohioans more options.”
The kiosks are part of a larger effort by the BMV to improve customer service and reduce wait times. The BMV has also been working to make its services more accessible to people with disabilities.
The kiosks are expected to be available in the Toledo area by the end of the year.
