Free Child Car Seat Checks Offered by GTSC in Multiple New York Counties

ALBANY, N.Y. — The Governor's Traffic Safety Committee (GTSC) is reminding parents and caregivers in Albany, Suffolk, Tompkins, and Steuben Counties about upcoming free car seat checks conducted by certified child passenger safety technicians. The events are part of a year-round initiative offering free car seat inspections in collaboration with state and local law enforcement agencies and community safety partners.

Albany County:

Using the "Learn, Practice, and Explain" model, technicians will educate parents and caregivers on how to choose, properly install, and use the appropriate car seat for their child's age, size, and vehicle.
