DMV Northglenn Office Relocation: A One-Stop DMV Experience for Adams County Residents

In a move set to streamline services and improve convenience, the Colorado Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV) is relocating its Northglenn Driver License Office to the Adams County Western Services Center in Westminster. This change means Adams County residents can renew their driver licenses and vehicle registrations in one location, creating a DMV One Stop experience.

The Northglenn Driver License Office is moving two miles west to an office suite inside the Adams County Western Services Center located at 12200 Pecos St., Westminster. The new State driver license office will begin offering services on Monday, July 17, and will operate from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. The existing DMV office at 11900 N. Washington St. in Northglenn will cease operations after midday on Thursday, July 13.

At the new location, residents can avail all driver license services, such as license and ID card renewals, endorsements, and instruction permit tests. Although this office will serve all Coloradans, its proximity to county motor vehicle services makes it particularly convenient for Adams County residents, hence the term, a DMV One Stop.

In Colorado, while the state DMV offers licensing and ID card services, individual counties provide motor vehicle services like registration and license plates to their residents. It is rare to have driver license offices and motor vehicle offices in the same building unless a county operates both. The new office represents a significant service enhancement for Adams County residents while still ensuring accessibility to licensing services for all Coloradans.

The relocation is part of the DMV's ongoing commitment to service innovation. The organization continues to offer online services, vehicle registrations in under two minutes at conveniently located MV Express Kiosks, and efficient in-office services.

The DMV's goal is to make services accessible for all Coloradans wherever they are needed most, be it in-office, online or on the go. For more information on accessing DMV services anywhere, visit DMV.Colorado.gov/Anywhere.
