The DMV Field Office In Twentynine Palms Will Reopen With A Larger Waiting Area For Customers

The DMV office in Twentynine Palms, located at 3668 Adobe Road G-J, has announced that it will reopen to the public on Monday, November 21, at 8 a.m.
On October 11, the office was closed to change an expanded client lobby, new paint, and new carpet and flooring.
Residents needing a REAL ID are strongly advised to visit the appropriate office to apply for one. Beginning on May 3, 2023, passengers wishing to board domestic flights well within the United States or access restricted federal buildings and military sites will be required to provide a passport or other federally recognized documents, such as a REAL ID driver's license or identification card.
Visit REALID.dmv.ca.gov in advance of your visit to the DMV to submit your application, attach any required papers, and obtain a confirmation code to bring with you. You don't need an appointment to complete the transaction; bring your paperwork and confirmation number to the local DMV office. There is a turnaround time of fewer than 10 minutes to conduct a REAL ID transaction at a service window.
To Start, Look Online
The DMV has recently made significant progress toward expanding its digital service offerings. Visits to the DMV office are unnecessary for completing most transactions. Customers can renew their driver's licenses and car registrations and transact through the DMV's online services and other service channels. The DMV website features a helpful tool called the Service Advisor that customers can use to do various administrative chores.
