DC Residents Can Get Earlier Notice about Ticket Updates with Changes in Ticket Alert Service (TAS)

Regarding informing District of Columbia residents about traffic violations and related penalties, the D.C. Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) has announced enhancements to its ticket alert service (TAS). Previously, the ticket alert system only notified customers through email when their license was stopped. Still, it will tell them whenever a ticket is issued and the customer pays for it. This function lets users see whether a desired key is still available before requesting it.

D.C. residents will now get more advanced notification of ticket information and enhanced service thanks to a new program launched by the District of Columbia Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) (TAS). TAS2 is a new web platform that notifies locals through email when their tickets have been updated.

Those interested in signing up for this service on the DMV's website must supply their ZIP code and email address. Participants in each area who have registered for TAS2 will get email updates on the status of their tickets (from "open" to "close" or "pending," for example). While TAS2 will notify you of any changes to your ticket's status, it's still a good idea to log in at least once a week to ensure nothing has changed. You may tailor the alerts sent to your TAS2 account whenever an event piques your interest. You don't care about being updated on the traffic camera ticket's progress every time it's modified, but you want to know when it's been dismissed.
