DC DMV Announces Inspection Station Now Operating on Fall and Winter Schedule

Starting September 6, 2022, the Inspection Station started transitioning to its "Fall/Winter" operating schedule. The Inspection Station is currently running on a first-come, first-served basis and is not accepting online appointments. If you want to avoid the long lines and long wait times, the least busy time to visit the Inspection Station is on a Thursday or Friday between 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. or 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. They are also most busy daily between 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. The heaviest capacity is on Tuesdays or any days before and following a holiday.

Spring/summer vehicle inspection hours are effective the first Tuesday of June.
