Davenport, Oroville, and Coulee Dam Driver Licensing Offices Reopening
Driver licensing offices in Davenport, Oroville, and Coulee Dam will reopen for part-time service starting next week. The three offices closed in October due to budget cuts. Starting December 9th, the Davenport office will be open from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m., Monday through Friday. The Oroville office will be available from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Thursday, and the Coulee Dam office will be open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Tuesday through Friday.
The offices will take appointments for driver's licenses and ID card services, reinstatements, knowledge testing, enhanced driver licenses, and instruction permits. Customers are encouraged to make an appointment before visiting the office. Appointments can be made online at dol.wa.gov/appointments or by calling 1-800-525-0137 during business hours Monday through Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m., except for state holidays.
Extended office closures have meant customers have had to wait extra time to meet their licensing needs. Reopening these three offices is a significant step forward in helping mitigate some of the backlog created over the last few months and getting customers back on the road safely and legally.
Washington State Department of Licensing (DOL) is looking for ways to increase office access by extending additional hours or expanding online services instead of physical locations. The DOL remains committed to providing the best driver licensing experience possible while maintaining the safety and health of customers and employees.
