Arkansas DFA to Close Maumelle Revenue Office on Aug. 29, 2025

Residents of Maumelle and the surrounding Pulaski County should be aware of an upcoming change that affects where they can handle driver licensing and vehicle registration tasks. The Arkansas Department of Finance and Administration (DFA) has announced that the Maumelle Revenue Office located at 550 Edgewood Drive in Maumelle City Hall will close permanently on August 29, 2025. This closure is part of the state’s effort to consolidate services and improve efficiency. After Aug. 29, all in-person transactions that were handled at the Maumelle City Hall location will be offered at the nearby revenue office at 11601 Maumelle Boulevard.
At the Maumelle Boulevard office, customers will still be able to renew their driver’s licenses and vehicle tags, obtain Real ID‑compliant credentials, register a new vehicle, and complete title work. The facility has more space and improved parking compared to the city hall location. For many routine transactions, the DFA is encouraging Arkansans to use its online services at mydmv.arkansas.gov. Residents can renew registration, order replacement credentials, pay insurance lapse fees and even schedule road tests through the portal. These online tools are available around the clock and can save a trip to an office.
If you already have an appointment at the Maumelle City Hall location after Aug. 29, be sure to reschedule at the Maumelle Boulevard site to avoid any disruption. Those who prefer to handle business before the closure can continue to visit the old office through Aug. 28. After that date the facility will no longer serve customers. The DFA recommends arriving early or using the online portal to avoid long wait times. By planning ahead, Maumelle residents can ensure a smooth transition and continue to get the services they need.
