All Arkansas Revenue Offices Can Issue Real IDs

You can get your Real ID card at a state revenue office. Before, only 25 revenue offices could issue Real IDs. 

You must show your Real ID when entering a federal facility. It is also required for boarding domestic flights. A gold star in the corner distinguishes the real ID. Real ID has more security features. The ID prevents criminals from using fake licenses. Congress enacted the law after the attacks in 2001. The new deadline for getting a Real ID is May 3, 2023. The extension is a response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

You must bring several documents when applying for your Real ID card. Make sure that you bring proof of your identity to your appointment. You will not get your card without the proper identification. Abbreviated birth certificates are not acceptable identification. You will need to show proof of residency and a document that has your social security number. A lease agreement can prove residency. A pay stub can show your social security number. Be ready to pay the fee when you get your real ID.
