In the state of Texas, updating your address with the Department of Motor Vehicles (TxDMV) and the Department of Public Safety (DPS) is a legal obligation. This guide provides a step-by-step walkthrough to ensure that your vehicle registration and driver's license reflect your current address, keeping you compliant with Texas regulations.

Changing Address for Vehicle Registration (TxDMV):

1.) Online:

1. Visit the TxDMV Vehicle Registration Renewal Page: Go to the TxDMV's Vehicle Registration Renewal website.

2. Enter Required Information: You'll need your license plate number and the last four digits of your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN). If you're unsure of these details, they can be found on your current registration receipt.

3. Select "Change of Address": During the process, you'll have the option to change your address.

4. Enter New Address: Input your new address details accurately.

2.) In Person:

1.) Online:
