This newly designed credential features a scenic mountainside image, backed by a vibrant and colorful backdrop. The word “Colorado” is printed in bold type to add to the boldness of the design. Colorado state governor, Jared Polis, is pleased with the new design and its representation of the state. During a press conference held at the History Colorado Center, Polis stated that this was the first time Colorado residents were able to assist with the choosing of their state’s official credentials.
Not only did the card go through aesthetic changes, there were also improvements made to its overall makeup. Each license and identification card is made using some of the latest anti-counterfeiting technology. The card is also made of 100% polycarbonate, making it extremely sturdy and durable.
Mark Ferrandino, who serves as the executive director of the Colorado Department of Revenue (CDOR), shares Polis’ sentiments about the new credential. In fact, Ferrandino believes the Iconic Credential is one of the best designs he has ever seen.
