Barbara Jackson-McIntosh, the director of the BMV, announced that the agency's St. Thomas office would be relocating to the Tutu Park Mall. The new office will be located in the food court of the East End Medical Center. The inspection services of the BMV will still be handled at its Subbase location.

Effective immediately, the current drop box location services will be terminated. Existing customers can still avail of these services at the SubBase location until Friday. Those who need to pay for documents or obtain driver's licenses will still be able to do so there.

All appointments for new registrations and renewals will be available on August 2. To schedule an appointment, customers can do so by visiting the BMV's website.

The BMV's office hours are Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., except on holidays. Inspection services will be conducted at the SubBase location from 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Anyone needing to conduct business at the local BMV offices must practice social distancing and wear a face mask.

According to Jackson-McIntosh, it is essential to have the help of the public to make sure everyone stays as safe as possible. To reach the agency's various branches, customers can visit its website at bmv.vi.gov or call its customer service department at 340-774-4268, 340-776-6262, or 340-713-4268.
